When I started this blog late last year, I had a clear vision for what I wanted my space to be. I had looked online when Poss was first diagnosed, and struggled to find anything I could relate to. The stories weren’t ours.
I was determined to share an insight into our life with Poss, trying to move away from the stereotypical view of what Aspergers is and show she is so much more than her diagnosis. Share our story. Maybe help someone like us.
What I couldn’t have predicted was how much I have been helped.
The community of bloggers around me, their stories, their writing – it all inspires me. Inspires me to be a better parent, a better friend, a better writer and a better blogger.
I read stories I relate to, other writers who soothe me with their words, as they tell how they overcome challenges and share tales I relate to so closely, they could be happening in my own living room.
I have found myself wanting to write better, blog better and evolve my little space. And like any skill, I have a feeling this writing thing only improves with practice and a little bit of discipline. So this month, I am taking on a challenge.
Alongside some others (Katrina and Kellie), I am going to try to blog every day in September. In an attempt to not only improve my writing, but also interact with new people and discover new inspirations at the same time.
There is no fancy button or link up, nor hard and fast rules. It’s a personal challenge. One we are all doing for our own reasons. No-one is going to be disappointed in you if it doesn’t work. So it makes it easy for you to join in and come along for the ride.
Simply leave a link below letting me know you are joining in. Or if you are on twitter, tag your posts with #blogfor30 and we will find you.
Now off to plan some posts… nothing like being organised!
