I am late to the Easter party this year. After the past few years of having every single event styled, planned and decorated to within an inch of it’s life, maybe I am just over it.
I can’t bring myself to get out the jars or the pretty little accessories. It’s not that I don’t love it, I do, but I am possibly suffering from styling fatigue… is there such a thing?
So this year, there will be fresh flowers and hot cross buns on a nice cake stand, but no lollies in jars and no tissue paper pom poms. I might pull out some of the bunny decorations and we will set the table. The focus will be on having fun, not making it look like a magazine shoot.
But that’s not to say I don’t love a styled shoot. I do. They are beautiful and if done well, so inspirational. Having worked behind the scenes, I know they aren’t real, but god, they can be gorgeous. And I do love the gorgeous.
So with that in mind, I thought I would share one of my Easter favourites. This one has been styled by some ladies I am lucky to call friends. It’s a styled shoot, sure, but there is something about the colours, the divine food, the perfectly chosen accessories and the addition of the bunny that just makes me smile. Who doesn’t love a bunny?
