I really don’t want to jinx us, but it’s been a good week.
If you read along here, you might know that Poss has issues with sleeping. Falling asleep, staying asleep, the whole thing is fraught with issues.
This week, she started a new trial of melatonin and she is sleeping. It’s bliss. She has slept EVERY night for the past 5 nights, going down quickly and sleeping through. Ok, so she’s still in our bed most nights, but I determined to celebrate the successes. And even though I’ve been sick this week (both an ear infection and a sinus infection – bonus!), the extra sleep has made it liveable, bearable.
Not only is it good for us, it’s so, so good for her. She is happier, calmer, more settled. She came home with stickers from her teacher every day (even receiving one from the Principal) and a special note in her diary tonight, praising her on her concentration in class this week.
We could seriously not be prouder… I am seriously considering framing it. That would be a bit over the top, no?
