Yesterday our baby turned 8. We celebrated with family by eating cake, suffering listening through her new One Direction CD, watching her ride her new skateboard and submitting ourselves to having our makeup done with her new set.
On Saturday we will celebrate some more with a small party and she has promised to paint my toenails and do my makeup. It’s all very quiet compared to years gone by, but you know what, it still feels pretty special.
