It’s not often that Poss loves something. Like truly loves something. This can be super annoying as it means she cycles through toys and interests super quickly. Utterly transfixed for 5 minutes, convincing us to spend large amounts of money in fulfilling the obsession, before quickly moving on and the latest love being shoved into a corner to gather dust.
In terms of sticking power, the ones that last longer than a day or two, I can probably count them on one hand. There is her bear Crumbles that has been a constant companion since she was three. There’s One Direction, who have been simmering along for quite some time now. Hugo the bunny probably counts, the iPad, and maybe the trampoline. Maybe her American Girl Doll. And that’s about it.
So when we find something that seems to really draw her in and keep her engaged, it’s like stumbling onto gold. And when it’s reasonably priced, well, that’s a bonus!
Online shopping last week I came across something called Kinetic Sand, I bought it and it arrived on Friday. Since then, we have literally had to remove it from her hands as she cries to be allowed to take it to bed with her. Yes, sand in the bed – because that’s a good idea…
Yesterday she clocked up a solid 12 hours playing with it. In fact, she loves it so much, she wanted to create a ‘review’ for YouTube.
So we did. And these are the results.
Poss has now decided she wants to review ALL her toys for her ‘Poss Reviews’ segment (as she so named it) – let me know if this is something that you guys would be interested in.
Oh – and for the record, I didn’t coach her with this, nor help her with her script… it’s all of her own doing!

As someone who as played with the kinetic sand with Poss I have seen how much she loves it! Not only is it incredibly therapeutic and engaging for her, it is also amazing therapeutic for adults. I find myself dragging myself away from the relaxing feeling of the living breathing sand running through my fingers. Definitely a must buy! The test for me will be if my little boy will be engaged by it, and if its not, I am sure I will get some enjoyment out of it!

I finally found some Kinetis Sand this week end by pure chance at a shop called NEETO in Moonee Ponds in the K Mart Centre there. Brought two one kilo boxes ,the shop assistant said it is flying out ,My four year old daughter loves it as she can play with it inside on these hot days. Apparently NNEETO have several other stores around Melbourne

We ended up buying some Kinetic Sand on the weekend at Urban Attitude in Fitzroy and we also got this cool mould set (http://babyology.com.au/toys/bring-sand-pit-fun-indoors-with-kinetic-sand.html). It makes the experience so much better!
